Fundamentals

Five one-on-one sessions that teach the movements before you walk into a regular class, first month of membership included. Seasoned athlete? Call us or book a No Sweat Intro. There are test-out options too.

What to expect

Five sessions, one on one

Onboarding is five personal training sessions on the fundamentals of functional fitness and Olympic lifting, and your first month of membership is included. It is one on one unless you sign up with a friend.

  1. You and a coach

One on one with a coach, or two on one if you signed up with a friend. The session is built around you, not around a class.

  2. The movements first

A coach teaches and demonstrates each foundational movement, checks your range of motion, and shows you the scaled version.

  3. Then you train

You do a workout built from what you just learned, at the version that is right for you today.

  4. After the five

You choose: walk into regular Group Training, or keep personal training going with classes on the side. Either way you know the movements and the coaches know you.

Who it’s for

Who starts here

  • Total beginners. If you have never set foot in a gym like this, you are the exact person these five sessions were built for.
  • Anyone who has not trained in the last six months. Coming back after a break, you do all five and relearn the movements instead of guessing at them.
  • Seasoned athletes with a functional fitness and Olympic lifting background. There are test-out options for you. Book a No Sweat Intro, or call us to set it up, and we will sort out which one. Everyone starts with one of these.

How to start

A No Sweat Intro first: twenty minutes with David, sitting down, in street clothes. Or call and we will set the sit-down up for you. You leave knowing which version of onboarding is yours.
